Poland warns of the scenario of Wagner sending troops across the border 0

(Dan Tri) – Polish officials warn that any Wagner fighters who cross the Belarusian border will be responded to by Polish and US military forces.

`No one in Poland rules out the possibility that, to test NATO, to test the alliance’s solidarity with Poland, with Eastern Europe, they (Wagner) could try to enter Poland,` Michal Kaminski,

More than 10 Wagner convoys moved from Russia to an abandoned base in Belarus, near the Polish border.

According to satellite photos, there are about 300 tents and 200 military vehicles believed to belong to Wagner at a base in Tsel, Belarus.

Worried about a Wagner `invasion`, the Polish government announced a nearly doubling of the size of the army, from 172,000 to 300,000 troops.

The Suwalki Corridor is a Polish location, about 65km long, running along the Lithuania – Poland border.

Suwałki is considered a `dead spot` of NATO, because one end borders the Kaliningrad region, Russia’s territory in the Baltic region, while the other end borders Belarus, an ally of Moscow.

In response to Western countries’ concerns about Wagner’s presence in Belarus, the British Ministry of Defense’s intelligence agency assessed over the weekend that Wagner could not currently pose any significant threat to Poland or its members.
