(Dan Tri) – Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son raised a number of proposals to promote cooperation between Yunnan province, China and Vietnam in fields, including import of agricultural and aquatic products.

On March 28, at the Government Guest House, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son received Comrade Vuong Ninh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Yunnan Province, China.
In an atmosphere of sincerity and friendship, the two sides highly appreciated the good progress of the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership over the past time, especially in the aspects of political and economic exchanges.
Emphasizing the role and importance of local exchange and cooperation in the overall relationship between the two countries, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and Provincial Party Secretary Vuong Ninh expressed their joy about the encouraging achievements in cooperation.
Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that the Party, State and People of Vietnam always attach importance to friendly neighborly relations and comprehensive cooperation with China, identifying this as a top priority in the country’s overall foreign policy.

Minister Bui Thanh Son stated a number of proposals to promote cooperation between Yunnan and Vietnamese localities and ministries in the coming time: Increase visits and contacts between levels and sectors of both sides;
Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee Wang Ninh introduced the socio-economic development situation of Yunnan province;
Agreeing with Minister Bui Thanh Son’s cooperation proposals, comrade Vuong Ninh emphasized his readiness to maintain exchanges and contacts with Vietnamese localities, especially localities that share a border with Yunnan.
