Mr. Khue also said that experts in the Treatment Subcommittee, National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, did not vaccinate in the first phase, giving priority to doctors and medical staff at direct facilities.

Vaccination safety conditions
The Ministry of Health recommends that a person receive 2 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, each dose 28 days apart.
Vaccine recipients are screened before vaccination.
When giving the second injection, if the person being vaccinated shows signs of a severe reaction from the previous injection, they should notify them to postpone the injection or give specific instructions.
Vaccination sites are fully prepared with facilities and cold chains to preserve vaccines to meet requirements.
In the first phase, each vaccination site will have less than 100 people per vaccination session, to ensure safety.
Reaction after injection
Associate Professor Duong Thi Hong, Deputy Director of the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, said that AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine is currently being injected in 25 countries, intramuscularly administered to people aged 18 years and older and has no age limit.
Additionally, about one to less than 10% of people who get injections experience swelling and redness at the injection site.
On March 8, AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine will begin to be injected in Vietnam.
