Unlike the opening day, the SEA Games 32 closing ceremony took place more simply and lasted less than 120 minutes.

A series of fireworks started the closing ceremony of SEA Games 32 at Morodok Techo stadium on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, Cambodia on the evening of May 17, 2023.

Vietnam finished the first Congress at number one in the overall rankings when playing abroad, with 136 gold, 105 silver and 114 bronze medals.

There were eight athletes who won four or more gold medals at SEA Games 32, including six Singaporean swimmers: Quah Ting Wen, Quah Zheng Wen, Quah Jing Wen, Jonathan Tan, Letitia Sim and Gan Ching Hwee.
